Gülay Alpay
Artist member since 2023

I am a Turkish & Canadian Artist. My paintings are playful, spirited, freeform, and deceptively complex. I bring a 3rd dimension to art and extend its scope by getting beyond space and time. This World which is made up of constituents from silk to paintings of mixed technique applications, and from multidimensional colorist paintings to video, media art, and installations will then offer many surprises including painting, being embraced with clothing of silk painting as a collaboration by the artist and the visitor. As an interactive participatory and provocative artist, I serve as a bridge connecting the treasures of nature itself with the human-beings. Anything around me, from forests to oceans and mountains, might become a source of inspiration for my creativity and productivity. Viewing my dynamic and exuberant works of art is an exciting kinetic experience, and these works of art have been featured in many places like Gora Art Gallery, Canada; Broadway Gallery, New York, and Hawaii.
